FAA Flight Plan • Agency’s Annual Strategic Plan • “Keeping our eyes on the future” • “Act now to meet the challenge” • Top 30 Agency targets • Incorporates NextGen • Transform U.S. air transportation system by 2025 • Multi-government agency effort - JPDO • Meet up to three times current demand • Move to satellite-based technology • Modernize National Airspace System (NAS) • Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B)

ARP Business Plan • Each FAA Line of Business Develops Own “Business Plan” & Work Together to Meet Goals • Targets Feeds into Eastern Region Airports Division’s Business Plan • Safety Goals • Improve Runway Safety Areas at certificated airports • Reduce accidents – Develop WAAS approaches • Reduce runway incursions – Runway Safety Action Team • Implement National Safety Management System (SMS) policy

ARP Business Plan • Capacity Goals • Support NextGen initiatives – Metro Areas in NY, and PHL • Manage congestion – LaGuardia rulemaking, new Dulles runway • Increase Annual Service Volume of 35 busiest airports – FACT 1 and 2 Studies • Identify benefits of improving secondary and reliever airports • Environmental streamlining – Philadelphia CEP EIS • Noise compatibility – noise land reuse plans

ARP Business Plan • International Leadership Goals • Organizational Excellence Goals • Improve web access for FAA information • Maximize AIP funding investments • Grants based on bids or actual cost • Close out grants within 4 years of issuance • No more than 18 months of grant inactivity • Program discretionary funds within 60 calendar days of funds becoming available • Close out PFC applications in timely manner • Re-evaluation of Goals after FAA Reauthorization
