  2. The Graduate Record Examination, also commonly known as the GRE Exam, is the standard test for assessing the readiness of the candidate for graduate schools. This examination is owned and managed by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). • This examination would measure the quantitative, reasoning, and writing skills that the candidate has acquired through his or her schooling period.   3. Structure of the examination • The GRE General Test has a total of six sections. The content of this computer-based GRE testconsists of geometry, a vocabulary section, arithmetic, and algebra. The 1stsection of the examination would be always the Analytical Writing section. The following sections would consist of two quantitative reasoning; two verbal reasoning sections and the last section would be either research or experimental section.   4. This test would be conducted in the multistage GREformat. The entire examination would be of about 3 hours and 45 minutes.   5. Analytical Writing Section • Candidate sitting for GRE Singaporewould have to write an essay about the topic asked in the examination. This module has two different sections namely “Argument Task” and “Issue Task.” The candidate would be asked to write on a specially designed Word Processing Program which has only basic computer functions only. • For the “Issue Task”, the candidate would be given 30 minutes to write about the selected topic. Candidates taking GRE coursewould be able to practice on topics already publish in the official websites of GRE.   6. Quantitative Reasoning Section • This section would test the basic quantitative skills of the candidate appearing for the examination. This section would measure your ability to solve and reason word problems. According to the leading GRE private tutors, the total time duration for this examination would be about 70 minutes. • There are two sections in this module. Each section would have 9 problem-solving questions, 3 data interpretation questions, and 8 quantitative questions. The candidates who are taking GRE preparation onlinewould have to learn the short tricks and methods to solve the quantitative problems quickly.   7. Verbal reasoning section • This module would test the reasoning ability of the candidates. The candidate taking GRE classes onlinewould have to focus on practicing the reasoning questions of this examination. The candidates would face several types of questions in this module. • They are namely sentence equivalence questions, text completion questions, and Reading Comprehension questions. • Candidates who are taking gre preparation examclasses should focus on getting familiarize with these questions. The duration of this module would be about 60 minutes with 30 minutes per section.
