  3. Outcomes • Explore a range of learning resources • Recognise the importance of the visual domain • Consider how resources can enhance the learning experience of their students • Recognise how good use of resources can be used to ensure inclusiveness UWN @ Coleg Gwent

  5. Inclusion and Equality of Opportunity • Get to know your learners and recognise any special difficulty they may have • Know where to get support for yourself and your students • Consider the needs of ALL learners UWN @ Coleg Gwent

Effective Use of Learning Resources • Resources can complement and extend the work you do • They can enhance the process for all participants by supporting the learning taking place • Cognitive domain - a handout to explain detailed subject material • Affective domain - a video/film engaging them in issues of discrimination • Psychomotor - real equipment for practising techniques UWN @ Coleg Gwent

  7. Advantages of Visual Aids • They gain attention • They add variety • They aid conceptualisation • They aid memory • They show you care! UWN @ Coleg Gwent

  8. Make every minute count! • Change the tempo and pace of learning activities • Use timed activities • Use “dead” time creatively • Question time – thinking time • Breaks are a learning opportunity too • Have fun! UWN @ Coleg Gwent
