  4. Consequences • Predicted consequences of climate change on the region: • Warmer and damper winters • Hot and drier summer • Rising probability of hot spells in summer • Rising probability of extreme strong precipitation in winter and spring • Increase of storm events

Fields of action • Agriculture and Forestry: • Adaptation of products (e.g. new cultivations) • - Adaptation of management methods • Health: • Public awareness building • Improvement of early warning systems on (ozon load, air pollutants) regional scale • - Adaptation of living and working conditions of people (all generations)

Fields of action • Building Industry, Water Management, Planning • Development of innovative concepts in planning and material-technical range to increase building precaution • Tourism • Action concerning possible rising demand of touristic goals in central mountain regions (Odenwald) • Re-defining low seasons in the region • Adaptation of touristic places concerning climate change
