  1. Realism Bellringer #1 2-15-12 Directions: Start this on a new sheet of paper. Use your notes on Realism to help you answer the following questions. • What is Realism? • List the four factors that contributed to the rise of Realism. • List at least one way in which Realism is different from Romanticism (Hint: use the chart from the notes). • List two characteristics of Realism Literature. (See number 8 in notes) Today’s Objective: We can identify ethos, logos, and pathos in a text.

Today’s Objective: We can read and understand local color and dialects found in Realist literature.
