  2. Attitudes, Actions & Consequences • Peter professed that he would die with the Lord rather than deny Him.

  3. Matthew 26:31-35 31Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd,And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.' 32But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee."

  4. Matthew 26:31-35 33Peter answered and said to Him, "Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble."

  5. Matthew 26:31-35 34Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times."

  6. Matthew 26:31-35 35Peter said to Him, "Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!" And so said all the disciples.

  7. Attitudes, Actions & Consequences • Peter professed that he would die with the Lord rather than deny Him. • This attitude is essential to pleasing God and being crowned with eternal life.

  8. Revelation 2:10 10 "Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life."

Matthew 26:47, 51 47And while He was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and elders of the people. 51And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

  27. Luke 24:13-21 13Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. 14And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

And the high priest asked them, 28saying, "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name?   47. Acts 5:40-42 41So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. 42And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

  50. Attitudes, Actions & Consequences If we have the same attitude, then the same or similar circumstances will result in the same or similar actions on our part and we will suffer - or enjoy - the same or similar consequences.
