Welcome to Family & Consumer Sciences! What is Family & Consumer Sciences? Very simply, the classes that not only prepare you for careers, but give you life skills as well. The courses are Fashion I and II , Individual and Human Development and Food and Nutrition and World of Children. The classes are electives and hopefully you choose to take one or more of our courses during your four years here. Freshman students may only elect Fashion I or Foods and Nutrition. Fashion students are required to purchase the fabric needed for the projects they will make during the school year. Some of the projects include pillows, stuffed animals, pajama pants and boxers. Foods and Nutrition students will get a taste of foods around the world and are expected to sample all the foods prepared (unless there are food allergies). The classes are in Room B120 and Room B116. Make sure to say hello when you walk by!
