What the course is about Introduction to the core concepts of marketing Special emphasis on the marketing of new, innovative products and services Emphasis on market research methods, marketing strategies, pricing analysis and promotional techniques that are particularly useful for entrepreneurial settings Innovative use of the internet and non-conventional techniques such as “guerrilla” marketing

About the lecturer Andrew Ng is an Adjunct Asst Prof at the National University of Singapore's Entrepreneurship Centre Received an MBA from the National University of Singapore and A member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing in the United Kingdom Mr Ng is the founder and CEO of Greater China Consult He was the Area Vice President (Asia Pacific) of Schwan Stabilo. Prior to working with Schwan Stabilo for the last 8 years, he spent 10 years in the high technology industry as Managing Director for Control Data Corporation (CDC) and Seagate Technology

About the lecturer Kwanghui Lim is an Assistant Professor at NUS Business School in National University of Singapore Graduated from the National University of Singapore with First Class Honours in B. Eng (Electrical) and received an Ph.D., Management of Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Massachusetts Institute of Technology He was a Consultant at Booz-Allen & Hamilton (1991-1993) Teaching Experience: Fall 2001: Visiting Assistant Professor, MIT Sloan School 1995-2000: Teaching Assistant for several courses

Senior Visiting Fellow in Faculty of Engineering More that 25 years track record as senior line manager/director for R&D, new product development and business management for MNCs and small companies in Europe, USA and Japan. Activities include aircraft engines, power stations, telecoms & IT automotive, industrial & residential products, postal automation, mechanical handling and inkjet printing. 5 year consultancy experience in business process re-engineering – including set up of new product development association for industry in the UK in collaboration with UK Dept. of Trade & Industry 6 years teaching experience at NUS on technopreneurship subjects at undergraduate and post graduate level, and also 1 semester as adjunct consultant at Cambridge University.     15. What the course is about Understanding the process of new product development Understanding the nature of successful products and portfolios Awareness of the roles of various functions in creating a new product ( for example marketing, industrial design, engineering, and production)

    16. About the lecturer Neo Kok Beng B.Eng (Electrical) with Upper Honours from NUS, and MBA from Nanyang Business School, NTU. General Manager of InfoWave Pte Ltd, a joint-venture company of Singapore Technologies Electronics, Trek 2000 and Melodeon. He is also Chairman and Chief Incubator at Incubators@Work!, a $20 million Hi-Tech Intrapreneurship Venture Fund of Singapore Technologies.

About the lecturer Douglas Abrams is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore's Centre For Entrepreneurship Graduated from the Annenberg School, University of Pennsylvania with a BAs in Communications and received an MBA from The Wharton School Co-manages the private equity business of Parallax Capital Management Prior to joining Parallax, Mr. Abrams managed information technology at J.P.Morgan for 13 years From 1997 to 1999, he was Global Markets Head of Internet Marketing. From 1991 to 1997, he was VP and Manager of Investment Banking Technology (IB)

About the lecturer Mr Liew Shin Liat holds a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Chemistry from the former Nanyang University, and an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne Switzerland Was a Vice President/ Director with Ernst & Young Consultants for 13 years, specializing in strategy development, supply chain and channel marketing management as well as business process redesign

    23. About the lecturer Currently the President of LSL Partners Consulting, a company that provides regional management consulting services. Consulted and conducted training programs for senior executives at various universities (such as Tsinghua), industry associations (such as China Grouping Company Promotion Association) and some state-owned Enterprises in China
