  3. Change Can’t live with it – can’t live without it. Think of the five major changes in your own life in the last five years How many of them were intentional? How may of them were a forced response? How many of them were unavoidable? Change over time is a consistent factor in human experience

  4. Change (2) You can change And only you can change To do this: You need to live in your own “house”

  5. Rebalancing “work” What does your work mean to you? Reason for my existence Pleasant way to generate income Daily social event Provides “another place” Strictly instrumental – pays the bills Personal requirement changes over time

  6. Rebalancing “work” Looking into the future: Can your current work model continue? Do you want to change it? If so in what direction? Is that be possible in the current workplace Could you find it somewhere else?

  7. Important you accept Change may not be what you want This offers possibilities: Jump ship Prepare your skill base to exit Change the relationship Move from full to part time

  8. Self care & support Are you a caretaker or a carnivore? How much time per week do you spend in self care? Not (just) retail and hair How much “personal development” do you do? When was the last time you invested in you? Professional / Personal / Indulgence Do you “self medicate”?

  9. Environmental issues (1) Are you a caretaker or a carnivore? Are the people round you caretakers or carnivores? What a caretaker does What a carnivores does

  10. Environmental issues (2) Can you maintain career mode Or Do you have to move to survival mode?

  11. Surviving change Do you have a sense of humour / the absurd? Are you looking towards the horizon? Is your organisational radar tuned in? Do you know what is important in your life? Do you know what is important in your work? Do you understand the difference? How much skin are you prepared to sell?
