  3. Sample thesis statements Especially in Somalia, one of three countries that have not ratified the Convention, child labour remains a prevalent part of the society, depriving children of opportunity unique to childhood. An adoption of a certification mark for products made without child labour, in resemblance to the International Fairtrade Certification Mark, and instillation of a minimum wage can be a solution to the widespread child labour issue in Somalia.

  4. Sample thesis statements Though South Africa has one of the cleanest water systems in the world (IRIN, 2009), lack of sanitation and accessibility is killing numerous South Africans with dehydration, malnutrition and water borne disease. The pain that is currently being inflicted upon people in South Africa can be eased, however, by the government carrying out dam projects and fixing problems in infrastructure.

  5. Sample thesis statements Since taxes are a major source of government revenue, tax evasion by large companies, such as Apple, harms the national economy. A commonly offered solution to this problem is that the American government should implement tougher territorial taxation system , however, it would be more reasonable for the government to end the current abusive offshore loopholes in corporate tax system.
