  1. Egg drop What protects an egg the best?

  2. Purpose The reason I am doing this project is to see what protects an egg from breaking and cracking a cup, bubble wrap, stuffed animal. Hypothesis I think that the cup won’t crack it because the egg should not hit very hard due to the plastic hitting the ground first.

  3. The Materials • 9 eggs, 1 cup, aluminum foil, 3 square strips of bubble wraps, 3 rubber bands , and stuffed animal, one ladder

  4. The Procedures • Step 1- get small plastic cup, 9 eggs, a stuffed animal, tinfoil, and bubble wrap. • Place one egg in a cup, one egg in bubble wrap, one in a stuffed animal.

  5. The Procedures • Step 3- climb up ladder and drop egg from top of ledge of ladder. • Step 4- check egg for cracks

  6. The Procedures • Step 5- repeat steps 2-4 two more times.

  7. Graphed Results What best protects an egg from breaking and cracking? Scale of protection 1=little 3=the most Material used to protect the egg

  8. Conclusion We learned with our day of experiments that the stuffed animal protects the eggs best. First we thought the cup would protect it the most. It turned out that the stuffed animal protects it more because it had stuffing to protect the egg better.

  9. Acknowledgements I would like to thank Dave for letting us use his frig for are eggs and his ladder, our parents for letting us use the utensils. Stevie and Amber for letting us use their bubble wrap and Mrs. Larsen helping and giving us the assignment.
