Henry Ford Health System • Founded in 1915 by Henry Ford • National leader in clinical quality and safety • Full continuum of care (primary outpatient care, inpatient care, home care, dialysis, hospice) • Henry Ford Hospital and Health Network • Henry Ford Medical Group (800 employed physician group practice) • Health Alliance Plan • Henry Ford Bi-County and Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospitals • Soon to be Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital (2008) • 17,000 employees

  6. Diversity Education HFHS has a well developed Diversity Curriculum that is available to all employees. Generational diversity (age differences) is addressed in the curriculum. • A Peacock in the Land of Penguins • We Need to M.E.E.T. • Just be F.A.I.R • M.E.E.T. on Common Ground

Results • Total HFHS employee turnover for 2005 was 14.5% • Total turnover for employees with service of 21 - 30 years = 2.6%; 31 – 40 years = 1.4%; and 41+ years = .3%…Grand total of 4.3% • Employee Satisfaction Survey is conducted annually • 20% of longer service staff participated • Overall job satisfaction is viewed as “Strength” • 2005 AARP Award – “Top 50 Employers”
