  1. https://www.kalmarantiques.com.au/ Tips on Looking for a Reliable Shop Selling Jewellery

  2. With so many jewellers to choose from when you next decide to buy, it can be a little difficult narrowing your choices. These tips should help with that…

  3. Inspect their credentials Find a dealer with a qualification from an international gemmology school that has global recognition such as: • GG: A Graduate Gemmologist diploma is a qualification obtained through years of hard work at the GIA, and is more often than not a reliable mirror of the jeweller’s skill, being a senior gemmologist. • AJP: The Accredited Jewellery Professional diploma is proof of the jeweller’s sales training and knowledge of gems. Dealers with this certification have been trained to guide customers through a sale by being able to impart knowledge and understanding regarding their choices.

  4. A good dealer such as those found at Kalmar Antiques Jewellery, should be able to supply you with proof of at least one of these. • How do they fit in the community? • What is their reputation? Ask around, speak to friends, family and colleagues who have brought jewellery before. Find out who they prefer to buy from and get a feel of the • experience they had while doing so. Word of mouth is still one of the most reliable forms of marketing. But don’t stick to one person’s opinion, it may not give you a full picture.

  5. Social media rarely lies: In fact, it often gives you far more information that you bargained for. See if the jeweller has a social media page, read their content and then browse the comments. By doing this, you will find all kinds of helpful information from the quality of their gems and metals, right down to the history of the chronometer rating on their watches, and they will likely be honest testimonials of the store and its wares.

  6. Check the ‘Better Business Bureau • The Better Business Bureau was set up in 1912 to help anchorage fair trade all over the world. Find their website here. • This site can be checked to find out more about a business’s reputation. Any customers with a major gripe can use this platform to get the word out and warn prospective customers of ill business practices committed by a company. Too many bad ratings on here means you should probably steer clear of the company.
