Goals identified: • To form an independent entity with mission statement • Consumer ed program • Sustainability plan for market • Pavilion/permanent location with full amenities/room for expansion • Dedicated market manager that is not a vendor/organizational structure • Need ownership vs top-down management/partnerships • EBT/WIC program and wireless technology • Effective marketing & promotion plan (with $$ to support it) • Increase regional networking opportunities among markets • Engagement of younger demographic/communications • Community – vendor – customer relationship building • Certified community kitchen – low cost, value-added products for market, programs & services to aid farmers in add’l revenue opps. http://www.nyfarmersmarket.com
