Global KOL Database Quick-Reference Card KOL Database General Navigation Tips • To access the Global KOL Database: • DO use the available buttons and links available within the KOL Database application • DON’T use the “Back” button within your Internet browser • For security reasons, ALWAYS click the “Logout” link when you are done Type “biosciencealliance.com” into the URL field of your Internet Explorer browser and click ENTER. Enter your standard corporate login credentials Search • Use the “OL Name Search” and “Organization Search” options on the “Home” page for Google-style quick search of KOLs or organizations. Results will appear within the same window, with each entry a link to view the KOL or Organization profile. • Click the “Advanced Search” tab to access the “OL Search Builder” tool, allowing you to further narrow and filter your search results. • Click the Excel or PDF icons (located above the search results) to export the search results to Excel or PDF, and print the results. • Click the “Filter” down arrow (located above the search results) to view links to parameters to further filter your search results. Profile • KOL Profile data is available for display and/or update after selection of a specific KOL • Baxter employees are expected to ONLY update profile data within the following areas of the displayed “Profile” tab: • Profile Details • Addresses • Contact Details • Baxter employees CANNOT view, upload, or download CVs Baxter Data • Baxter KOL data is available for display and/or update by selecting the “Baxter Specific Data” tab when viewing a specific KOL. • ALL Baxter employees are encouraged to update all data as needed. This data can be found under the following areas of the “Baxter Specific Data” tab: • OL at-a-glance • Critical Communication • Advocacy • Contracts • Grants

  2. Interactions • Interactions are those communications between any Baxter employee and a KOL. • Baxter employees are required to record all such interactions that take place with a KOL. Examples include: • Phone • Email • ALWAYS save interaction information before navigating to another screen. • For best results when looking up interaction attendees, always use both first and last names. • Live Conversation • Web presentation To Record an Interaction Click the “Interactions” tab. Use the calendar icon ( ) to select the interaction date, and select the appropriate type of interaction. Select one or more values from the available fields in each of the following areas:Note: All values are driven from List-of-Values (LOVs) – there is no free-text entry. To add a value to the interaction, select the item from the available list on the left-side of the screen, then click the corresponding “Add” ( ) button to add the item to the list at right. If you need to remove a specified item from an interaction, select the item from the list on the right-side of the screen, then click the corresponding “Delete” ( )button to remove it from the rightmost list. If the interaction is related to a scheduled event, click the “Get Event” button within the “Related Events” area to select the event from a list of those in proximity to your specified interaction date. Click the “Save” button to save the interaction. If you have another interaction to record, you may click “Save and New” to save the current interaction and start a new entry. • Attendees • Product • Scientific Topics • Baxter Specific Activity Type Reports • Dashlets are mini-reports that are accessible from your home page (click the “Home” tab). • Reports are information queries that are more dynamic in nature, allowing you to specify various search and/or filter parameters. • To execute and view a report: Click the “Reports” tab to view a list of available reports. Select a report from the available list within the left pane Enter data for any required parameters (varies based upon report type). Click the “Generate” button. The report information will be displayed below this button. You may optionally click the PDF and/or Excel icons to export the report to these formats, allowing for additional formatting and printing options.
