  2. Types of workouts • Aerobic workout • Workout for a longer time period • Body needs oxygen during workout period • Typical workouts that are aerobic is cardio workouts. (Running long distance, soccer) • Anaerobic workout • Shorter workout period • Body does not need oxygen during workout period • Typical workouts that are Anaerobic resistance training. (Weightlifting, sprinting)

  3. Resistance/Strength Training • Moving amount of weight for certain amount of time. • How you lift determines what kind of reaction your body will have. i.e. Hypertrophy • Sets and reps • 1-6 reps = muscle hardening • 6-12 reps = muscle inflation • 12+ reps = muscle endurance

  4. Weight Loss vs. Weight Cut • Weight loss, or fat loss, takes time • Fat is 3500 calories per pound • Weight cutting is what athletes do to make a certain weight • Wrestlers, UFC • They do not actually lose weight, just sweat out water • Leads to dehydration
