  2. Agenda • CogLab • Assignment Changes • Review of a journal article • Project Ideas

  3. Stroop Task • An experiment in cognitive control: red “red” “green” Reading a word, such as “red” in the example stimuli above, is very easy. We read words so often that it is quite automated.

  4. Stroop Task • An experiment in cognitive control: red “red” “green” Overriding that automation to say the color of the stimuli is extremely challenging. It requires a great deal of cognitive control.

  5. APA styling • 6th edition of APA guide is recommended • Potentially required (will determine by next week) • For now, • http://owl.english.purdue.edu/

  6. Next Week’s Assignment • One page • Double Spaced • Calibri or Times New Roman • Size 12

  7. Cont’d • Include citations if you have them • This will only get you further ahead for the next assignment! • Use format: • Lastname, A., Lastname2, B., & Lastname3, C. (2010). Title with only the first word: And the first word of subtitle capitalized. Journal of blah blah blah, 12 (3), 100-134. • Reference the APA guide or Perdue Owl for more than 6+ author articles.
