Policy Changes • Forfeiting team additionally responsible for field rental costs (Unanimous) • All ejections must be reported via an ejection submission form (Unanimous) • Ejections due to fighting result in indefinite suspension until investigation in to altercation is complete (Unanimous) • Teams on probation are no longer eligible for the early payment discount on league dues (Unanimous) • NCBA will publicize who is placed on probation and why (Unanimous) • Teams on probation will be required to use field/game contracts (Unanimous) • To be eligible to win the conference title and qualify for the post season a team must play at least 75% of the average number of conference games played by their fellow conference opponents (Unanimous) • All teams new to NCBA must play D2 for one year if available geographically (Unanimous)

Rule Changes • Halted Game Rule added to all regular season conference games (Unanimous) • All Games played in a 7-inning format (Unanimous) • Courtesy Runners for pitchers and catchers (Unanimous) • No reentry (Unanimous) • NCBA teams with both a DI & DII team may move no more than 3 players up to DI from DII in the same year, provided this is done prior to the roster freeze and that there is remaining room on the DI roster (Unanimous) • No players may be sent down from the DI team to the DII team in the same year (Unanimous) • Once a player is moved from the DII roster to the DI roster, he/she is no longer eligible to play with the DII team and that roster spot can not be replaced (Unanimous)

Session 1 Team Operations – Peggy Lallis • League Participation Agreement (LPA) Form • New Team Form (Due Date: August 1st) • Existing Team Renewal Form (Due Date: June 15th) • Signed by president, signed by club sports director or faculty advisor • Fax to NCBA then mail the original • E-Registration Form • Provides full contact info to NCBA front office • Complete in full and email to NCBA • Important to include a secondary contact • Important to include advisor contact info

Session 1 Team Operations – Peggy Lallis • Scheduling Request Form • Important to complete with as much detail as possible • District Coordinator Director will assign due date • Important to include requests for Spring Break, Finals, and Field Availability • The more flexibility the better • General Liability Insurance • $2,000,000 General Aggregate • $1,000,000 Per Occurrence • Policy covers the NCBA and it’s members (The Teams) • Covers many aspects of NCBA play (i.e. Travel, Practice, Workouts, Games, World Series) • Full Year of Coverage • This policy assists teams in obtaining playing fields • 3rd Parties can be additionally insured for $100 • This policy helped protect the NCBA and it’s members from potential financial losses from lawsuits • This is NOT a health or accident insurance policy

Session 1 Team Operations – Peggy Lallis • Reserving Fields • DON’T PROCRASTINATE • Contact opponents once schedule is released to set dates and times • Don’t wait till a week before you are to play • Reserve fields as soon as schedule is released • 3rd party additional insured • Scheduling Umpires • Contact local High school AD to gain contact info for local umpire assignor • 2 High school certified (or better) umpires per game • Don’t wait till a week before you are to play • Contact assignor as soon as schedule is released • Re-confirm once dates and times are set

Session 1 Team Operations – Peggy Lallis • Player Participation Waivers • For players and player coaches • MUST be typed, printed, signed, and mailed • Faxes NOT accepted • Players are NOT eligible until they appear on the NCBA website roster • Coaches Participation Waivers • For non-playing coaches, managers, trainers, etc. • MUST be typed, printed, signed, and mailed • Faxes NOT accepted • Coaches, managers, trainers, are NOT allowed on the field or in the dugouts unless they have a waiver on file with the NCBA

Session 1 Team Operations – Peggy Lallis • Academic Eligibility Letter • 2 Sample formats available • Must be signed by registrar, faculty advisor, or club sports director • May be faxed, but original must be mailed as well • Must show currently enrolled, 12+ credits, 2.0+ GPA, no academic warning, and no academic probation • Uploading player stats/pics/bios • Once players are cleared by the NCBA as eligible and appear on the website roster, you may upload stats, bios, and pics for each • A username, password, and instruction manual will be emailed to each team • Teams are responsible for uploading their own stats • It is the responsibility of the team to be sure that stats are entered accurately and in a timely fashion • Be sure that all player pics and bios are of tasteful and suitable content

Session 1 Team Operations – Peggy Lallis • Weekly Team Submission Form • Submit to Regional Director by midnight each Monday regardless if games were played the previous week • Be sure to enter scores/results for ALL games played during that week • Be sure to submit a full stat line when nominating player/pitcher of the week candidates • Submit these on time to assure that your candidates receive consideration for awards • NCBA Dues • Includes 2 Bats, 5 Dozen NCBA game balls, $2 Million general liability insurance, etc. • $1480 due in full by February 28th • $100 discount ($1380) if paid in full by December 31st • Credit Cards accepted but subject to a processing fee • Invoices and receipts available through the NCBA Treasurer (treasurer@clubbaseball.org) • EIN/Tax ID#: 52-2270910

Session 1 Team Operations – Peggy Lallis • Boosting team interest • Student involvement fair for incoming freshmen • Advertisement in school paper • Flyers in freshmen dorms and common areas • Coverage in school paper • Create a Facebook group • Boosting Team Moral • Get the team together off the field as much as on • Social events and group activities where ALL are included can build strong bonds which will lead to more success on the field • Spring Training trips build strong team chemistry • Set room assignments on the road to break up “Clicks” • Looking good can make players buy in to the club philosophy faster • Coordinating hats, helmets, uniforms, and practice gear go a long way • Being organized will give opponents the impression of strong leadership while instilling pride in your team to compete with confidence • Arriving in uniform, team vans, choreographed warm ups, show opponents that you take things seriously • Choreographed practices with a set practice attire sends that same message to your players

New Uniforms? • More included = Higher Dues$ • Supply & Demand: Lots of interest = Higher Dues$ • Make them pay as soon as they make the team • Players who practice for months and then fail to hand over a check hurt the team financially and chemistry • Charge $5 for tryouts

Session 1 Team Operations – Peggy Lallis • Team Equipment/Uniforms • Be sure to order early as customized items tend to have extended lead times • Order extra caps, everyone’s dad and brother will buy one for a fundraiser • Order extra pants and jerseys, uniforms do rip or go missing on occasion • Order extra game balls when the supply runs low, NCBA rules state you must use the Official NCBA Baseball and they don’t go bad • Get quotes from NCBA sponsors, there is a reason why the NCBA endorses them • Take advantage of additional NCBA discounts during early ordering periods
