WRITING THE 2011- 12 GRANTRCN Structure / Meetings Plan • Meetings: Target for Specific Purposes (option): • Business Meetings focus on action items related to the grant, financial status, etc. • EPLI Meetings focus on training and coaching priorities / issues. • Community Partner Meetings focus on transition and/or parent/family collaboration. • Agenda Considerations: • Report on RCN goals w/ action items • PD with Impact • Coaching for Implementation • EBPs Priority • Post-Secondary Transition • Who will attend upcoming conferences / workshops • Report out plan for conferences / workshops

START Priorities 2011-12 • PD (Professional Development) with Impact • WHO needs training? • WHAT training do they need? • HOW will we deliver the information in a way that improves implementation? • Mini IT - TEAM-based (student / building focus) • Ongoing Training at the local / building – levels / staff meetings, etc.

START Priorities 2011-12 PRIORITY FOCUS Coaching to Improve Implementation Fidelity • Review RCN Coaching STRUCTURE • Identify Coaching ACTIVITIES at each level of the structure • Clarify ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES of coach coordinator(s), building coaches, and coach leaders • Consider Implementation Coaching for fidelity of EBP • Utilize the USAPT and enter data into the online system to evaluate implementation of effective practices and develop goals for improvement

START Priorities 2011-12 • Based on work with NPDC, START has developed a process for effectively and efficiently implementing EBPs through coaching. • Process will be presented at June EBP Summer Institute & Fall Leadership & RCN Meetings. • Each RCN will be asked to choose at least FOUR target students to pilot the process with a separate building team for each. • Building teams should meet at least monthly

START Priorities 2011-12 • Develop a Transition Action Group or identify an RCN representative to attend already an already established group. • Set innovative goals / plans for at least 4 additional post-secondary transition students for moving them into employment, independent living, post-secondary education settings, and leisure/community activities.

  12. START Priorities 2011-12 • Identify at least 4 members of the RCN participate in an online course offered by Griffin-Hammis Assoc. (discovery process and customized employment)-- $190 per person (include in budget). • Key Components of the Post-secondary Transition Priority: • Use the discovery process with each target student • Develop a student portfolio using discovery information • Complete an implementation plan based on the discovery process • Collect baseline and student progress data based on implementation plan • Complete the RCN Post Secondary Transition Pilot Project form
