  5. Truth campaign A great example of a good social media campaign is the Truth tour. The Truth campaign educates people about the manipulation of tobacco products by Big Tobacco. Here is what makes their social media campaign so successful. • They have a common goal of teaching youth about Big Tobacco. • They use graphics to display their messages. • They keep people updated on where they are going • They post regularly. • They RESPOND to people’s questions and comments.

  7. Social media activity So now that you know more about how you can use social media to aid your organization, let’s put your knowledge to use. In your school group your goal is to create a post that is exciting and make people want to know more about what you are doing. You’ll be given... Poster board Markers

  8. Social media activity When you create your posts, use one side of your poster board to draw a picture and the other to write your message in words. Use Truth’s example: In a file from 1978, Big Tobacco described cancer as “an essential ingredient of life.”
