  1. FABRICS OF PAKISTAN Presentation made by Ms AksaBasharat & Ms Faiza from APS(FWO) chaklala Rawalpindi Pakistan.

  2. DRESSES Dress is the identity of any nation. It is the thing which tells you the nationality of a person without even asking. Every country has its own traditional dress. So is the case with Pakistan.

  3. NATIONAL DRESS OF PAKISTAN Our traditional dress is the shalwarkameez. This is good for all men, women and children of Pakistan. It is worn and is equally popular in all the provinces, cities and villages of Pakistan. The shalwarkameez holds equal importance in both ceremonial wear and casual wear. Women like to dress up in shalwarkameez most of the time and also during different ceremonies.

  4. PUNJABI DRESS In the province of Punjab men wear Lacha , Qameez and cotton mufler (dopatta) on their shoulders. Women of punjab have beautiful colored dresses. They usually wear long shirts with shalwar or dhoti and dopatta covering their head.

  5. SINDHI DRESS The men of Sindhi province wear shalwarqameez, Sindhi Topi (cap) and ajrak on their shoulders. Sindhi topi is full embroidered with mirror work on it . It is famous not only in Pakistan but also all around the world. Sindhi women wear short shirt and lehnga. Both are fully embroidered with sheesha (mirror ) work.

  6. BALOCHI DRESS Balochi men wear shalwarqameez and turban on their heads. Balochi women wear embroidered dresses with lots of mirrors on it , they used to cover their heads with embroidered dopatta and also wear bangles and lots of heavy jewellery.

  7. PUSHTO DRESS Pakhtoon men wear shalwarqameez , waist coat and a turbine on their head. Women of pakhtoon wear beautiful frocks like dresses with hand made embroidery on it and they usually wear dopatta with a cap on their head.

  8. KILAASH Kilash is not the province of Pakistan but it’s included in the northern area of our beloved country. Their women wear adorable dresses. They usually wear black colored frocks with lots of beads and shells work on it. And they cover their heads with a cap and dopatta. They also wear hand made jewellery.
