IEEE-SA Global Strategy • Maintain a strong global standards perspective in IEEE • Leverage IEEE expertise, competence, track record, and processes to achieve global standards goals • Provide a forum to develop market-relevant standards • Promote global usage of IEEE standards MOU Program to foster relationships with organizations around the globe

  3. Common MOU Elements • Share information about standardization activities • Establish staff liaison relations between organizations • Allow adoption of IEEE standards as national standards • Organize joint events • Facilitate technical cooperation

  4. Signed MOUs • MOUs with organizations in: • Canada • China • Israel • Japan • Korea • South Africa • Over half a dozen currently under development

  5. Proposed MOU with TTA • IEEE-SA and TTA are developing MOU to promote communication between organizations • Expected completion by the end of the year • Technical cooperation annex • Sharing documents • Observers • Finalize list of groups and contactpersons
