Organizations Historical Context: During the course of world history, many organizations have been formed. • Organization of African Unity (OAU) • Amnesty International (AI) • Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) • European Union (EU) • North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)

  4. Organization of African Unity (OAU) • In the past countries from eroupe like rissia and great Brittan and france have had control of Africa. One of the effects of imperism was Africa lost it traditions. Eroupean belived in the white mans berdan witch mean they thought they were better. The eroupeans to Africa for natural rescores such as gold, oil , dimonds. Many of the Africans were put in slavery for example the belgins forced people to collect rubber and give to them and if they didn’t come back with enough rubbner there hands were cut off.

  5. Organization of African Unity (OAU) • The Organization of African Unity was setup in 1963 in Addis Abeba. In the beging the oau had 32 independent Member States. Today this group includes 53 members country from all around Africa. This group is an example of pan-africanism.this group wants untiy among countries from afrca, and create a better life for every one living in afrca., to protect ther independence , end colonism and to have intermation cororations.

  7. Amnesty International (AI) • Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide movement of people who campaign for internationally recognized human rights. AI’s vision is of a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights stated in the Uinversal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards.

It does not support or oppose any government or political system, nor does it support or oppose the views of the victims whose rights it seeks to protect. North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) • The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), also called the North Atlantic Alliance, the Atlantic Alliance or the Western Alliance, is an international organisation1 for collective security established in 1949, in support of the North Atlantic Treaty signed in Washington, DC, on 4 April1949. Its headquarters are located in Brussels[1], Belgium. Its other official name is the French equivalent, l'Organisation du Traité de l'Atlantique Nord (OTAN).
