Outcomes for today • Examine the overlap between Oregon School Improvement and OrRTI initiatives. • Develop language to help your staff mentally bridge school improvement work in Oregon and OrRTI implementation. • Network with other school personnel; identify common challenges & solutions for Oregon Priority and Focus (or schools in improvement status) that are also implementing RTI systems. • Others?

  3. Bridging Initiatives • What OrRTIexpectations help us meet our School Improvement expectations and vice versa? 4. Challenges & Solutions • Where do we begin? Math or literacy? • What if we need to move more quickly than our district is moving or in a slightly different direction? • We know we need to focus on our core, but we have students who are two or three years behind academically, what do we do right now? • OrRTI helps our district but we need intensive support at our school. What should we do? • What are the elements of a comprehensive and balanced assessment system? What does OrRTI focus on vs. School Improvement and how should this be reflected in our CAP? • Where do the CCSS fit in with all of this? How about Educator Effectiveness? • Others:
