The penalties are harsh.

Homeworks are not group projects. • Don’t share files with others, even if they claim they just want to “look” at them. • Don’t leave your files on a public computer or anywhere else someone could take them. • Don’t reuse files, even blank ones, because they may contain hidden details about the person who made the original file.

  26. Academic Integrity:Standard Penalties First Offense Second Offense Failing grade (F) for the course. For egregious offenses, you might get an unforgivable F (UF). UFs can’t be removed from your academic record, even if you retake the class. They will have a severely negative impact on your chances for graduate school or a career. • Loss of credit for the assignment. • Plus, an additional 40-point penalty. • Altogether, the minimum penalty is 100 points, a full letter grade. • You are allowed to keep and earn your bonus points.
