  2. Scenario 1 Fatima went to Sarah’s house after school. In the car ride, Fatima says to Sarah, “Oh my God! Zayna is so annoying! I can’t believe how muchs she brags! Why can’t she ever keep her comments and big mouth to herself?!?!” WHAT DANGER OF THE TONGUE IS THIS?

  3. Scenario 2 Hassan had just gotten back his science test after school, and had received a C+. He knew that his parents said if he gor lower than a B+, he was going to have his cell phone taken away. “Hassan! What did you get on that science test?,” called his father. “An ‘A’!,” he replied. “Great job! I knew you’d do well!” WHAT DANGER OF THE TONGUE IS THIS?

  4. Scenario 3 • Miriam’s mom was called up next to get her teeth checked out. “Miriam, I’ll be back. Just wait here with your sister.” ½ hour passed by, and Miriam and her sister, Jenna, were looking at magazines in the lobby. “Jenna, I’m bored. Let’s talk.” “Okay, about what?” “Did you hear? Karimah’s dad lost his job, and she might stop coming to our school. But I wonder where she is still getting those expensive clothes from. They can’t afford it and someone told me they were donations and she buys some from thrift stores…..”

  5. Scenario 4 • “Muhammad,” started his Mom, “I really need you to start doing your chores. You haven’t been taking out the garbadge, feeding your fish, or raking the leaves. The house is always a mess, and your fish are going to die.” “Why are you always lecturing me?!? I’m sick and tired of hearing the same talk over and over again! Why is everyone always nagging on me?!?! I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT!!!
