  2. What will we cover?

  3. How will it work? • Attend the live lectures OR watch the recordings of the live lectures once a week. • The live lectures will cover a topic about science NOT covered in the textbook. • Watch the recorded lectures and experiment videos once a week. • Do the weekly experiment on your own. • Take a weekly test (if you want a grade you have to take the test).

  4. Friday Questions • I will be available for questions on Friday from 9 am – 10 am MST. • You will be sent a link for the Friday Q&A.

  5. Multiple Age Levels • This is a group class with multiple age levels. • Access to recorded lectures from all three grade levels. • You can watch higher or lower than your grade level.

  7. Classroom rules • No speaking while I am speaking. Your microphone will be muted. • No drawing on the whiteboard during the lecture unless I ask you to. • Please be kind with your words. • No chatting off topic in the chatroomor chat will be turned off. • Time for questions will be at the end of class or when I request them.

  10. To be a real scientist all you have to do is MakE observations Ask questions

  11. Let’s try it • Take a few minutes right where you are. • Observe the space and things around you. • Write down 5 questions about the things around you (questions you don’t know the answer to).

  12. Type or draw some of your questions here

  13. Summer Fun Work • Everyday this week take some time to observe the people, air, light, animals, plants, stars, and objects around you. • Write down 3 questions a day. • Record them in your notebook.
