  3. Track Club History/Events • Began in 2006 as a running club/track club by a former HS track coach and Rayvin Guyton. • In 2009 we became our own entity not affiliated with HS. • Only middle school in Gwinnett County with a Track Club (26 middle schools).

  4. Practice Schedule • Begins: Monday, Jan. 27th, 2013 • Monday - Friday • Time: 4:30 – 6:00, pick up at HS Stadium Track • When meets begin (March) practices are Monday – Thursday. • **Coaches make call with cancelling practice.

  5. Practice Expectations • Students must be at practice to compete in meets • Pick up time is 6:00pm!! • 1st time after 6:15pm = warning • 2nd time after 6:15pm = one less event in next meet • 3rd time after 6:15pm = does not compete in next meet.

  6. DUES • $165 for new runners • $110 for runners on team last year • Due date - Feb. 3rd • Must be cash or money order made out to Shiloh Generals Track Boosters • **Checks will not be accepted**

  7. UNIFORMS • Students will be fitted at this meeting– sweatsuits and uniforms • Make sure you pick correct sizes!!! • String bags are optional - $9 • Clothing will not be given until payment has been received.

  8. Track Webpage • Go to: www.shilohms.com/home.html • Go to ’Students’, • Then ‘Athletics’ • Then ‘Track & Field’ • Forms – Meet schedule, bus permission forms, contracts.

  9. DOCUMENTATION • Contact Information – Already Done! • If not…. Please come up to our computers now and complete form. • Parent/Student Contract – Supplied at this meeting and on track website under “Forms” section. • Uniform order form – completed today after being sized.

  10. EXPECTATIONS • Academic – “Student Athlete” • **Must have 1st semester passing grades** • Morning tutoring • Maintain passing grades throughout season • Discipline – no referrals • Commitment or effort level.

  11. MEETS • Current schedule – supplied at this meeting and on track webpage. • Transportation by bus – pick up at Centerville Library. • Bus Permission Forms must be completed before boarding bus.

  12. Footwear/Clothing, Winter Preparation • Running shoes required – Dicks, Sports Authority. • Warm clothing for practice. Must have sweats and long sleeves. • Run 2-3 times a week over holiday break to prepare for the upcoming season.

  13. TRACK BANQUET • Catered • Awards • Season highlights with slideshow • Organized by Shiloh Generals Booster Club
