  3. Nia Baker - City of Refuge • 2.75 miles from Tech’s campus • Organization committed to offering both material resources and training programs to those in need willing to work hard to change their situation Picture from last semester’s volunteer project at City of Refuge

Programs & Events Committee Jasmine FuThe Programs & Social Events Committee will have two main responsibilities: • Promoting diverse community service • First Lego League • Books for Africa • Habitat for Humanity • Discovery Program • Coordinating and planning socials • Dinner at Ray’s Pizza • Sundae making night • Barbecues

  5. Meetings Committee You'll be working with me—Jonathan Wu Help coordinate meetings: • reserving locations • ordering food • Find speakers • Help plan GBP Open Meetings: • Once a semester • Aimed at benefiting whole Tech community Pictured above: Great place for a meeting, am I right?

  7. Need to be… • Motivated • Creative • Able to work with other members/officers • Proficient in or willing to learn HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL databases Gain skills that look great on a résumé!

GBP: Georgia Tech ChapterWhat are the requirements? • Dues: • $20 per year • Cash or check • If you joined Fall ‘09 or Spring ’10, this does not apply to you • Must be turned in by Sept. 30th (Next Thursday) • See Ayaafter the meeting or take to Norma Frank’s office: MRDC 3112 • Points System • 4 total per semester: • 1 point for a Service project • 1 point for a General Meeting • 2 points from Fundraisers, Socials, Meetings, Projects
