Possible Solutions • Telematics solutions are already at attractive price points – Thanks to local entrepreneurs • GIS data quality, availability and affordability • Government must make solid steps to build spatial, legislative, social infrastructure • More competition in FMS product market, few successfull implementations • Vehicle OEMs and total ecosystem must participate (Shippers, fleet owners, Trade associations, Financiers, Insurers etc)

Few cases at a glance • DTC implemented PIS and few modules of Urban Transport FMS • Ahmedabad is in the process of deploying BRTS with FMS including Smartcard Ticketing • India Railways is in the process of integrating various systems to streamline and increase collaboration between all stakeholders in the organization • Lot of private Cargo transport companies implemented partial but not full fledged FMS solutions
