End of war * April 9th 1865 general lee sent a letter agreeing to surrender at 11:50 am *located -Virginia *Union – general Grant Confederate- General Lee *600,000 to 700,000 people were dead at the end of it all
Affected Americas future This helped America because it brought the two states together to make one nation. Also if union didn’t win slaves would most likely still exist and Jefferson Davis would have been the president
