  2. Agenda • Feedback from the Subgroups: How is the process going thus far? Issues? • Review Straw-Man Organization (from Transition Team meeting 1/26) • Review latest Version of the stream-lined Infrastructure Service Catalog (5.0) • Infrastructure isites: Internal Work Space for Sub-groups • Where should subgroup deliverables be placed? Etc. • Capturing Requests for Research (Burton, Gartner, other) • Deliverables & Timeline Update

  3. Feedback • Feedback from the Sub-groups: How is the process going thus far? • What’s working well, not so well? • Is the process gelling? • Are there any open issues/items needing input/resolution? • What overlap areas (if any) are you identifying in your groups?

Org Design Update Overview, Rationale, and Next Steps • Set of Values for these positions - critical • Common Processes/Tools across Groups (no silos) • Work groups will help inform the job descriptions (go to function and how it fits into Client Services) • People will know by 6/15 where they fit Current FAS IT Organization1 Current UCIO Organization1 1.   6. Infrastructure Service Catalog (v5.1) • Transition Team has made recommendations to consolidate • Think of the Catalog as “what goes on the customer website” • KISS principle • Susan to show most recent Infrastructure Catalog

Isites: Sub-group Work Spaces • Infrastructure isites: Internal Work Space for Sub-groups • All sub-group team leads have access to their Infrastructure sub-group work-space now available on the isites: http://isites.harvard.edu/transition • Enter the isites: http://isites.harvard.edu/transition  (new URL but old bookmarks still work) •  Login and authenticate with HUID/PIN • Enter the Infrastructure Working Group;  Enter the edit mode (click on the pencil in the right hand corner) • Notice the new shared docs area called “Sub-group Work Area” • Enter the edit mode (click on the pencil in the right hand corner) • Make sure you go into the folder of YOUR sub-team • You can upload files, etc. from there

Capturing Requests for Research • Program Mgt. has developed a formal template – all requests should be included in the template • There will be a few iterations of this – Liz Egan will manage the outreach with Burton, Gartner and others • Mail your requests to susan_delellis@harvard.edu – by Friday 1/28 -we’ll collectively submit our template • Initial “outreach” for customer input will be done informally – use your networks – formal focus groups will come in March

Resources, by Mar-15 input + feedback via focus group Scope and Defined Pre-reqs/Depend. 2 week group review Customers Defined Defined, Identify Research Requests Need to define the target service delivery model for each service category and each service. Then need to define how we get to the final delivery model, without breaking current (transition). Establish a 12 month implementation plan based on above – scope, schedule, resources, communications
