INTRODUCTION • This VESI Fieldworkers Handbook – 2008, is a compilation of work practices for use by field based personnel. • The Fieldworkers Handbook incorporates a revision and update of the 2006 Fieldworkers Handbook. The Handbook is not intended to contradict the National Competencies or materials commonly used by RTO’s. • This Handbook has been prepared for you in an effort to provide relevant information to help in your day-to-day line work activities.

  3. INTRODUCTION • It is almost impossible to cover all conditions that may arise. For this reason, the contents of this manual are to be considered the minimum requirements and not a complete working guide. • All employees (including contractors) are expected to be alert and to exercise good judgment when circumstances arise that are not specifically covered. • You are expected to incorporate additional safety practices in line with current established work practices whenever they are considered necessary to ensure that the job will be worked free of accidents and injuries.

DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT • The Fieldworker Handbook Committee will meet every 6 months, or as required • Any person can suggest a change/review request using the “Submission for Change” form • Submit changes to your Field Practices Manager who will forward to the Steering Committee. Only the VESI Fieldworker Handbook Steering Committee can authorise changes/revisions to this handbook
