  3. Awareness raising & training (1) • Information materials: • Brochures for consumers “Electrical Safety at Home” and “CE-marking” • LVD Implementation Guide(in Estonian; with comments based on national legislation)

  4. Awareness raising & training (2) • Seminars: • 8 seminars on LVD and its implementation • Main target group: manufacturers, importers, market surveillance institutions

  5. Awareness raising & training (3) • Study-visits: • 23-24 April 2003 → to Sweden (for representatives of Ministry and Technical Inspectorate; in co-operation with Phare 2000 project on Market Surveillance) • 9-10 October 2003 → to Netherlands (for representatives of all project partners) • 6-11 May 2004 → to Slovenia (for representatives of Technical Inspectorate and Electrical Safety Control Centre Ltd)

  6. Comparison Testing • Testing and Calibration Laboratory of Electrical Safety Control Centre Ltd • 1st testing carried out in June 2004 • 2nd testing carried out in December 2004

  7. LVD implementation strategy • Outsourced from ASI Consult Ltd • 3 phases: • Mapping the present situation(producers and importers, laboratories, market surveillance) • Objectives for laboratories and market surveillance • Action plan for laboratories and market surveillance for the years 2007-2010
