  2. Objectives of the CoE for HSS Documenting HSS and universal health coverage activities in Rwanda, across the region and in Africa. Developing a research agenda for HSS and universal health coverage agenda and performing research on HSS and universal health coverage. Contribute to capacity building at national and regional level in the domain of designing and studying HSS approaches for universal coverage.

Functioning of the CoE The manager of CoE responsible for day to day running of the center and coordination of activities at national level (100%) : in place PI of the project (20% time): in place Co- PI (20% time) : in place Community of Practices personnel (Research Assistant) (100%): ongoing recruitment advertisement

  4. ToR of the CoP research assistant Tasks The main assignment : to assist the steering committee and the senior facilitator of CoP in reaching their objectives. Some of the specific tasks : To assist in the organization of events in sub-Saharan Africa and the Great Lakes Region in particular. To manage the website and e-platforms (including the google group), including finding and uploading appropriate documents archiving outdated material facilitating asynchronous conversations making sure that all inquiries are getting a response within a reasonable time and ensuring translation of documents and messages from English to French and from French to English. To be the contact person of the CoP members with the Rwanda MOH and NUR-SPH To represent NUR-SPH in other existing CoP in HSS (Human resources for health, community health insurance, etc,…) To assist the CoP task force members by organizing CoP activities (even outside Rwanda) Etc…..

  5. ToR of the CoP personnel (cont.) Core competences Knowledge of health care financing and familiar with health systems and health financing challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa. Writing and communication skills and capacities to communicate fluently in at least English and French. Advanced University degree (Masters) in Public health or other related field with at least two years’ experience in health program management or research in a relevant public institution, private sector or in an international organization. Medical doctor diploma will be accepted. Experience in health system strengthening in developing countries, health financing, health policy and management will be an added advantage Strong values, including integrity and commitment to CoP mission. Membership in the PBF CoP will be an added advantage Etc…
