  1. Warm up 03-19-14 • Question: How does an object move when net force is zero? • Answer: • zero acceleration (constant speed + direction) • Goal: I will experiment with friction.

Element of the day • 77 – Iridium – Ir • Iridium is widely quoted as being the densest element, but this is because of an incorrect value for its atomic weight, which never got corrected on density charts. • It is expensive and so is usually only used in small amounts, like in high-end spark plugs, which will last much longer if tipped with iridium.
