  6. DisabledRightContracts • Thiscontractwasestablished in UN in 2007 andacceptedby 53 countriesincludingTurkey. • Thereare 50 contents in thecontractsuch as; education, health, employement, involvement in thesocietyetc. • Is it applicable?

  7. WhatdidUrgup do forthem? • Uptonow, wehavegiven a speacialeducationfor 138 handicappedpeople. • Most of themarementallyretarted. • Folk dancegroup of Urgupconsist of thesementallyhandicappedgirls.

  8. Theprocess… • Theprocess of thisworkrequiredmuch time.. • Itstartedbygivingthemthenecessaryandverybasiceducationbyourlecturers.

  9. Thepatientprocess.. About 2 months; gettingthepersonalandcharacterinformation.. About 6 months; applyingverybasicskills About 4-6 months; a veryspecificsubjectoroccupationaccordingto his/her abilities..

What has happeneduptonow? • Theprocessstillgoes on.. • Wehave a folk dancegroupthatconsists of mentallyhandicappedgirls. • Orthopedicallydisorderedstudentshave a placetocarryouttheiractivities in ourCommunitycenter. • Wegave a placefortwo of ourstudents, andnowtheyarecreatingceramics, andsellingtheirproducts.

  11. Dissemination; Ourtarget is toincreasetheawareness; We not onlyimproveourstudentseconomically, but alsoimprovethemsocially, in shortwemakethembelievethemselvesconfidentandmakethemfeelvaluable.. WeencouragedtheUrgupMunicapilityandlocalgovernmenttoinvolveintotheproject..
