ADEPT and HELG • To build on existing RIEPs’ and other key stakeholders’ work to provide a sector-led approach at a national level for local government on highways and transportation Local Solutions for a New Era

NIEP (Highways) - Objectives • To create a national sector-led “improvement and efficiency programme” that embraces collaboration and supports the development of best practice • To support and improve regional social issues including skills, capability and capacity within the sector • To strengthen and cultivate better supply chain management in highways and transport-related areaas, regionally and more locally. • To create a national organisation that successfully influences highways and transport policies at a local and national level and harness the contribution of the private sector.
