  4. Approach • Monthly cruises from St. Louis Bay out to USM buoy site 10 km south of Horn Island • Additional stations occupied near mouth of East Pearl River

  5. Approach • Profiles of variables included: • Temperature • Salinity • Depth • Dissolved Oxygen • Optics (selected stations) • At selected stations and depths: • Nutrients • Trace metals • CDOM, DOC, DON • Pigments • Particulate Absorption • Total Suspended Matter
