  1. Touching A Persons Heart By - KamaldipPanesar - Will Ward - Siobhan Whittington – Rachel Philogene – Emily - Gabby Finney

  2. Brief.. Our brief for this task, was to allocate three ‘main’ areas around the campus which, we then can brainstorm ideas on how they can be improved. But, most importantly how they can touch a person’s heart… This presentation will take you through the three areas our group decided on, and the different ideas we had in mind.

  3. Areas.. Smoking Area – Rachel and Emily Library – Siobhan and Gabby Horizons Student Bar/Café – Kam and Will

  7. Current Issues.. • Too dull? • The food is expensive • Not a lot of entertainment • ‘Comfortable’ seating is limited

  8. Horizons – Inside and Out…

  9. How to Improve Horizons.. • Improve the colour scheme perhaps? • As Horizons is the ‘main’ place on campus where students go between lectures, to grab a bite to eat or even to socialize with friends, you want everyone to feel welcome when they enter. • At the moment, it all seems too dull and uninviting. To get an idea on possible colour schemes, we could arrange for a public student survey to get people’s opinions.

  10. Horizons Improv Cont.. • Food is Expensive. Were students don’t forget! • Maybe start to introduce a sort of meal deal? So if you buy a sandwich, a drink ** and a packet of crisps/chocolate bar, it’ll come to a more reasonable price. The same could go for hot meals? • Seating.. • At the moment, we do have the option for the choice of comfortable seating, but not as much as we’d like. After a 2 hour lecture, students want to relax and chill. Introducing more sofa’s or comfortable seating could come in handy.
