  2. Applicants vs. Accepted Students • The school received 535 applications from 44 countries • Due to limited resources, only 76 students from 18 countries were accepted • Admission was “need blind” – no student should be turned away just because he/she can’t afford it LC School, Sokendai, Japan

Lecture, Tutorial and Homework • All lectures are in seminar style, no text books • Latest version of the lectures available on the web (Some handouts may use the old version) • There is homework but no exams. Homework will be collected on the day after the lecture and graded by the lecturers • Each lecturer will be available for one evening during the tutorial and homework time • Based on homework performance, the curriculum committee will select top 10% students and have an award ceremony on May 27 LC School, Sokendai, Japan
