  1. Depend on Magline’s Specialized Hand Trucks for Specialized Jobs There’s an old saying among material handlers: Use your head before you use your back. As every job is different, with unique requirements and challenges, the first step in making wise material-transporting decisions is choosing the best tool for the job. In response to those challenges, Magline has developed a whole specialized suite of hand trucks for the jobs that require specialization. Convertible Hand Truck The convertible hand truck from Magline is a two- to four-wheeled hand truck that can be used like a traditional hand truck but can also be changed over from a vertical position on two wheels to a horizontal one on four wheels. This conversion results in a sort of combination hand truck and dolly. Magline’s collection of convertible, also referred to as “collapsible,” hand trucks are a great choice when the cargo being hauled is a combination of the more compact, often stackable materials a traditional hand truck handles, and the longer or more awkwardly shaped pieces that wouldn’t fit well or at all on the platform of a traditional hand truck. Additionally, Magliner’s Three-Position Truck, with 10-inch pneumatic wheels, can be wheeled vertically, horizontally, or in a leaned position between the two.

  2. Stair Climbing Dolly Stair climbing dollies are powered hand truck dollies that actively roll loads up and down stairs. If your job requires moving heavy loads up and down stairs, the stair climbing dolly can not only save time, money, and energy, it can also provide a safer workplace. While all Magliner hand trucks are engineered for optimal balance, when attempting to move heavy cargo up and down stairs, gravity has the final word. Losing control of a hand truck because the load is too heavy to hold on the stairs, or because it leans during an attempt to pull it up (or down) and over a stair lip is never a situation you want employees to face. Weighty merchandise crashing down a staircase can result in not only damaged or ruined materials, but also injured employees or customers—that is a risk you never want to take. Lift Hand Truck Think of the lift hand truck as a hybrid hand truck and forklift. It’s a hand truck with a powered platform capable of lifting great weight with the push of a button (or the pull of a lever). Magliner lift hand trucks basically combine the maneuverability of a hand truck with the power of a small hydraulic stacker or forklift, but at a fraction of a forklift’s cost.
