  2. Where is Russia and it’s physical characteristics? • Russia is located in the North of Asia and North-East of Europe. Also it has a land mass of over 17 million square km. • Russia borders the Caspian Sea, Northern Pacific, Black Sea and the Artic Ocean.

  3. What is the population? • The population in Russia 141,930,000 people and Russia is bigger than the U.S.

  4. What do they speak? In Russia they speak Russian and it is very hard to write as I tried. They also speak other languages in Russia for example English, German and Turkish.

  5. Ethnic groups There are many different ethnic groups in Russia’s. There is the Poles, Turks, Soviets and even some Eskimos living in Russia as it is cold in some places just like the North Pole.

  6. Government • The Russian government is called the Russian Council of Ministers which is split between 17 ministers and 30 governmental societies. The government works with all the 25 ministers reporting to the prime minister. He then tells the president.

  7. WHAT IS THE CAPITAL • The capital of Russia is Moscow.

  8. Natural resourses • Russia has the largest minerals and energy supply and is know as “superpower” containing 22% of the worlds oil.

  9. WHAT ARE THE MAJOR INDUSTRIES? • Currently Russia consists of the following competitive industries oil and gas mining , processing precious stones and metals.

  10. Who is the leader • The leader of Russia is Vladimir Putin and he has been leader of Russia from May 7th2012 after he was again chosen to be leader.

  11. The religions in Russia • The religions in Russia are Russia orthodox, Islam, Judaism and Buddhism and many more.

  12. What sports do they play • They play football, handball, boxing and rugby union.

  13. FOOD • In Russia they eat zuatrak, uzhin and obed that they think is very nice

  14. Current threats to Russia? • Russia has only threats from the rest of Europe over their government. This is because other countries think Russia doesn’t have a fair government.

  15. Is Russia a developed, developing or third world country? • I think Russia is developing as Moscow is a developed city, but some of the other parts of Russia still need to be improved as it is with the money Russia is putting in.

  16. Has Russia been in any recent conflicts? • Russia was at war with Afghanistan in the 1980’s. • In 2008 Russia was in a war with Georgia over land. • Currently Russia is giving weapons to Syria.

  17. The famous people in Russia • Some of the famous people in Russia are Joseph Stalin. Who was one of the Russian leaders along time ago. Also Roman Abromavich owner of Chelsea Football Club.
