  1. The 4 Types of Chemical Reactions

  2. 4 types of chemical reactions single displacement decomposition double displacement synthesis

  3. Decomposition AB → A + B 2H2O → 2H2 + O2 Water decomposes into Hydrogen gas and Oxygen gas when you put a current through it.

  4. Synthesis A + B AB CO2 + H2O  CH2O + O2 In plant cells, with the help of sunlight, Carbon dioxide and water combine to form sugar. Oxygen is released.

  5. Single Displacement A + BC  B + AC Cu + AgNO3 Ag + CuNO3 When you put a Copper wire into a solution of Silver Nitrate Copper and Silver exchange places. Silver crystals will appear on the wire. Copper will come into solution.

  6. Double Displacement AB + CD  CB + AD HCl + NaOH NaCl + HOH Hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide will neutralize each other. Their ions will change places, yielding salt and water.  + +
