  3. MICROSENS WDM MSP - Platform • MSP 1100 • MSP 1400 • Both chassis can be connected in many ways and use one common network management system (nmp). The same transponders and filters are used in both platform types. Each platform type can be used for CWDM & DWDM up to 10 Gbit/s per channel.

  4. 19“ Chassis MSP 1100 • 1 RU high, 19“ wide • 2 slots for active cards • Redundant fans • Redundant Power Supply input 48V DC, external supplies for 230V AC • Managed with MICROSENS nmp

  5. 19“ Chassis MSP 1400 • 4 RU high, 19“ wide • 3 managed, field replaceable fans on the rear side • 10 slots for active (and/or passive) cards • Power Supplies 2x 230V AC, 2x 48V DC or 230V AC+ 48V DC • Managed with MICROSENS nmp

  6. MSP 1100, MSP 1400 • Each Chassis MUST have a NMS Module • A Chassis can have 1 PS (no redundancy) or 2 PS (fully redundant) • Free airflow must be guaranteed:MSP 1100: from left to rightMSP 1400: from front to back • Passive modules (filters, etc.) can also be built in separate passive Chassis (1RU, 3 slots).

  7. NM3 • NM3 module • Web Manager (HTTP/HTTPS) • Command Line Interface via Telnet/SSH/Console • SNMP v1/v2c/v3 with View-based Access Control Model (VACM) and User-based Security Model (USM) • Linux operating system • Users can be authenticated by the central TACACS+ server and user access may be restricted via Access Control List (ACL) • User authentication according to IEEE 802.1X

  8. Transponder Modules front view • MICROSENS • Module Name • Module Description • SFP Slots • Port LEDs

  9. Transponder Modules up to 4 Gbps

  10. M2G TDM for 2 Gigabit interfaces Input 1,0625 / 1,25 Gbps One card type for all port combinations Link speed fixed at 2,55 Gbps All interfaces standard SFP Synchronisation channel includes Remote Inband Management Built-in basic Performance Monitoring Automatic Link-Backup enabled through SW-Key (Backup-Key) Always „Point-to-Point“ NEW: E1/T1 Copper SFPs for P2P over GbE connection

  11. TXG / CXG CXG: Single channel converter for 8G/10G, no 3R TXG: Single channel converter for 10 Gbps with 3R Both interfaces use XFP 3R on both ports with TXG All standard 10G speeds per can be selected by SW parameter: Ethernet, SDH/SONET, Fibre Channel (TXG) Supports tunable DWDM-XFP

  12. NEW: CXG+ • 4 SFP+ interfaces • „Any“ speed up to 16 Gbps • Transparent mode, no 3R • Dual converter • Point-to-Point, Ring, Star und meshed configurations • Distances depending on type of SFP/SFP+ and application protocol/speed • For best performance use SFP+ with integrated CDR

  13. Pluggable Interfaces SFP / SFP+ / XFP • All interfaces on all Transponder Modules are SFP / SFP+ / XFP • Support of optical and electrical SFP • SFP / SFP+ / XFP are not coded • Transponder Modules X2G, M2G, T4G support SFP • Transponder Modules TXG, CXG support XFP • Transponder Module CXG+ supports SFP+ • Tunable DWDM XFP are also supported (C-Band)

  14. Modular CWDM Filters Always Mux + Demux per unit Always LC connectors Channel spacing 20nm Bandwith 11nm 8 channels 8 channels + Extension 5 channels + Extension + Expansion Up to 16 Wavelengths Can partially be combined with DWDM filters

  15. Optical Power Monitoring Module OM1 Optical Power Level monitoring device Full Duplex (Tx/Rx) Single Lambda, CWDM, DWDM Power Level range +20 dBm up to -40 dBm Resolution 0,1 dB Software definable alarm levels No active parts in the link No data monitoring possible Link attenuation only 0,5 dB Link Monitoring Intrusion Detection QoS documentation
