  2. BITS / CITS ACM IT support services • Hardware support for WisDOT equipment • Construction software installation and support – FieldManager, FieldBook, Field Information Tracking (FIT), Materials Information Tracking (MIT), MTS (MITLan), Project Tracking, VPN Client, and computer backups • Design software installation and support – Oracle, AASHTOWare Project PrPR/PrCA (formerly known as Trns.Port PES/LAS/CAS), and VPN Client • Provide notification of and guidance installing software updates. • Notifying staff of application or server updates and outages. • Distribute new FieldManager contracts to project leaders.

  3. 2013 Special Provisions • Hyper-threaded or multi-core processor, 2.1 Ghz minimum • Supported operating systems: • Thisis our last construction season supporting Windows XP with 2 GB RAM. • This may be our last construction season supporting Windows 7 32-bit with 4-8 GB RAM. • We plan to support only Windows 7 64-bit with 4-8 GB RAM next year. • Internet Explorer 8 for FieldNet web access • REMINDER - We need full localadministrative rights for software installations. If problems are encountered, installs may be postponed.

  5. Fieldbook enhancements Fieldbook users can now mark items as complete within Fieldbook. The completed status of the items can be imported into FieldManager through the IDR upload process. STH 29, Marathon County Project Leader: Marijean Hoppe, Becher-Hoppe Project Manager: Jim Volkmann

  8. FieldManager 4.9a enhancements • Contract Modifications • If multiple contracts are assigned to a contract, the user adding a New Item must select the contractor from the drop-down list. • Previously, the New Item was assigned to the prime contractor by default.

FIT - Guidelines for sending data Field staff are required to MERGE and SEND their FIT data for these circumstances: • When the ECIP is approved. • When contract time starts. • When a contract modification is created. • When a contract modification is approved. • When work is completed on the contract. • When a DQI report is completed.

Field software update plan • Appointments based on contract status: • New contracts starting in March and April • Active and carryover contracts • Existing contracts that are not finaled • Contracts starting in May or later this season • Bomgar will be used to remotely access computers and install the updates. We will send you an e-mail with a WisDOT FTP link to the files to be downloaded. • If a company has 5 or more computers requiring updates they can either be brought to a DTSD office for updates or BITS CITS ACM support staff may be able to come on-site for the installs. • We must have local administrative rights on the computers for software installations.

IT support (Effective March 2013) • WisDOT staffNew installs or upgrades • Use the Get Hardware / Software request form - http://dotnet/servicecatalog/procurement/pro-it-proc/index-get.htm FieldManager contract requests • Log into the Service Desk portal and open a ticket – http://dotnet/servicecatalog/servicedesk/index.htm • Consultant staffNew installs or upgrades AND FieldManager contract requests • E-mail Annette Czerneski or Kris Phillips to setup an appointment for an install / upgrade OR contract request • For contract requests, include the contract ID, FieldMgr ID and the PM (for estimate approvals) • We will open tickets for staff at this time. • All problems – WisDOT and consultant staff • Call the IT Service Desk at 1-800-362-3050 • Ask that the ticket be routed to Annette or Kris.
