Life, this is the fact. We don’t even have to forget the beauty of our planet! Here the history of our activity: our portal Maskontravel.com was created by two great friends, Kateryna Martynyuk and Kombarov Ilya. During their stay in Scalea, a small town lapped by the crystal-clear water of the Mediterranean Sea, they were not able to find any tourist guide who could lead them to discover the whole city, not only from its architectural or aestethic point of vue, but also to give them all the information about its history, traditions, habits and customs and – why not – its peculiarities with regards to food or even any local popular parties or festivals. It was a pity that a tourist – Italian or foreign one – could not enjoy such an amazing place! How did they get inspired to choose this name? Mascon is a contraction of the scientific expression “mass concentration” that is related to gravitational attraction on the Moon surface. Are you astonished? Well, you should know the perserverance, the determination, the pro-active attitude and the vision featuring the character of the two founders to understand this very telling name! 7. The 15 main attractions in Paris you absolutely have to visit! Did you ever wonder to visit Paris? If not, you should schedule a stop on your next upcoming travel plan. Why? What should you see in Paris? Paris is not only the capital city of France, but it also represents the hub of creativity, fashion, elegance and art. Oh well, Paris is also known all over the world as “la ville lumière”! Indeed, one of the interesting things about Paris is the plenty of outstanding, blinding lights as far as your eye can see. You don’t need anything to do, when the sunset will approach, you will note the ville lumière will be getting ready to celebrate the French night. Do you really want to enjoy this awakening at the most? Let’s start our tour to explore the best things to visit in Paris! Steady, ready, go! 8 /MaskonTravel /maskontr maskontravel.com @MaskonTravel #maskontravel /MaskonTravel

  8. La Butte Montmartre - The Hill of Montmartre You can easily join the top of the hill by underground, city buses or funicular. This part of Paris is well served, since it is one of the most famous things to see in Paris. Here, the huge white limestone Sacré Coeur Basilica with its lush garden overlooks the whole city and offers you a breathtaking view of all the city lights! If you want more, you can access the church to have a really unobstructed wiew, but – be careful – you have to pay a fee (6 Euros) to admire the view. Anyway, you should also consider an internal visit of the building – for free – and you don’t even need to check your watch: the Basilica is open until 10.00 p.m.! 9 /MaskonTravel /maskontr maskontravel.com @MaskonTravel #maskontravel /MaskonTravel

  9. ARE YOU ASTONISHED BY ALL THE TINY LANTERNS LIGHTING UP THE CITY? Now, you can answer the question: “Why is Paris called “The City of Lights”?”. Nevetheless, this is not the only impression you will get in this district. Montmartre is actually the most famous place in Paris where you can breathe a “village” atmosphere that appealed many artists to find the right inspiration for their works and you can look around this creative world made of canvas and paper splashed with the most colourful shades. In order to live this typical and time-warping adventure in its maximum level, when you go out the Sacré Coeur Basilica just follow the row with souvenir shops and you will access the very heart of this picturesque district. On second thought, maybe we said wrong: we spoke about a district, isn’t it? So why the presence of windmills? And the vineyards? Written by Roberto Spigarelli. 10 /MaskonTravel /maskontr maskontravel.com @MaskonTravel #maskontravel /MaskonTravel

  10. Now you can better understand why the correct word is “village”. The windmills prove the old setting of the Butte Montmartre and act as a setting for the several vines planted more than two centuries ago. The windmills don’t have any practical fonction, but they are just an aesthetic attraction. Among the mills, it is quite impossible to not recognise the most famous one in the world: the Moulin Rouge (see below for more information). If you come in Autumn, you cannot miss the wine harvest festival where you can sample the wine from freshly picked grapes at the Clos Montmartre (the ancient name for the vineyard) - a good opportunity to cuddle your partner in a magic and bohemian atmosphere of yesteryear. The red windmill is the symbol of this area and represents the temple of cancan! The Moulin Rouge is a not-to-miss venue where the dazzling and spectacular shows allow you to revive the original French cabaret that was created to celebrate the positive attitude and peace during the Belle Époque period. 14. NOTRE DAME CATHED RAL ROBERTO SPIGARELLI

  15. GOOD MORNING, PARIS! Are you ready for admiring the most well-known sight of Paris in the sunlight? Do not forget to bring your camera with you! The first monument that will delight and surprise you is the Cathedral of the city. Unfortunately, you can only enjoy an external view, since the burning fire occured in April, 2019 destroyed this Gothic masterpiece selected by the UNESCO as a World Heritage centre. By the way, the stunning beauty of the Cathedral will still convey a unique feeling created by the perfect union of art, poetry and literature. Notre Dame is, indeed, so famous thanks to Victor Hugo’s novel “Notre Dame de Paris” which rekindled the interest of the authorities to make the Cathedral the main church of the city. Beside being so important for its religious, cultural and artistic aspect, Notre Dame can also charm for its location. If you stroll a bit in the surroundings of the Cathedral, you will notice that it rises at the middle of the Seine River. Yes, you are right! This is an island! To be fair, the Île de la Cité, the French name of this islet, represents the very heart of Paris and the place where it all started. If you look over the sides of the river, you will see many bridges linking the two parts of the city and a lot of boats floating on the Seine. These typical vessels, the Bateaux Mouches in French, offer you another perspective of the city and you can choose different trips (only daily cruise, cruise with lunch or dinner), taking you to the most beautiful and famous sights in Paris! Are you wondering which are they? Just jump in or out, according to your preferences! #maskontravel /MaskonTravel maskontravel.com 16 /MaskonTravel /maskontr @MaskonTravel

  17. LOUVRE MUSEUM

  18. LOUVRE MUSEUM Who doesn’t know the importance of Louvre? This museum was born as a residence for French kings until the end of 18th century. The view of the building is simply spectacular and you will be delighted from the big glass pyramid situated at the entrance of the museum. Oh well, this is the real entrance, indeed. Can you guess the treasure inside the old royal residence? The masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance Mona Lisa, better known as “La Gioconda”, the “Conoration of Napoleon”, the “Liberty leading the People” – the icon of French revolution or the “Seated Scribe” in the Egyptian section are just a few examples. 19 /MaskonTravel /maskontr maskontravel.com @MaskonTravel #maskontravel /MaskonTravel

  20. ÉLYSÉE PALACE

  21. Élysée Palace Nearby the Louvre, you will find the Élysée Palace that is open for public visits only during the “journées du patrimoine” (heritage days). Do you know? Well, this building is the official residence of French Republic President, so maybe he doesn’t want to be bothered during his work or everyday life, but nobody can ban you from an external view! This place has been so vital in every period of time, from the 18th century (it was the residence of Madame Pompadour, the chief mistress of Louis XV) to the 19th century, when it was the setting of the abdication of Napoleon, before being transformed into a residential palace. The Élysée is located in the modern heart of the city, a stone’s throw from the most charming boulevard of the French capital city: the Champs Élysées. 22 /MaskonTravel /maskontr maskontravel.com @MaskonTravel #maskontravel /MaskonTravel

  22. THE CHAMPS ÉLYSÉES 23

  23. THE CHAMPS ÉLYSÉES This avenue represents one of the most famous streets, but also one of city places that maintained its old charm and fashion of the past. Nowadays, this venue changed into a commercial hub for élite shopping where you can feast your eyes and refresh your wardrobe. Besides the shops, don’t forget to explore this 1910-meters-long boulevard with its museums and other attractions like the iconic arch located at one end of the street. Do you know which monument we are speaking of? 24

  24. The Arc de Triomphe – The Arch of Triumph JANUARY2020

  25. The Arc de Triomphe – The arch of Triumph YES,YOUARERIGHT! This monument is one of most representive symbols of Paris, considered by the French as a sacred site for their country. This is not a case if all the city streets lead to the square at the basis of the Arch and that the square is called “Place de l’Étoile” (étoile means “star”). "The history of the Arc begins in 1809, when Napoleon asked for building this 50- meter-high monument to celebrate the success and the glory of his armies." Over the time, the Arc de Triomphe became the symbol of all soldiers who died during the World Wars for their homeland and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on the base of the monument can express this strong patriotic feeling. Moreover, a very suggestive ceremony takes place every evening at 6.30 and an ethernal flame will be lighted on in their memory. Do you want to discover other sights of the wonderful ville lumière? Excellent! If one end of the Champs Élysées is featured by the Arc de Triomphe, on the other end you will find another example of splendor and opluence: the Place de la Concorde. 26

Try to imagine why! We give a tip: do you see the high Egyptian obelisk? It comes from Luxor, one of the major archaeological site of Egyptian pharaohs and is located on the “Axe Historique” (Historical Axis), an imaginary line passing by the most important sights of the city. Do you remark something else? Exactly! The great amazing fountains at the sides of the obelisk. One is the Fontaine des Fleuves (Fountain of Rivers) and the other one is the Fontaine des Mers (Fountain of sea), both celebrating the river and sea navigation. 29 /MaskonTravel /maskontr maskontravel.com @MaskonTravel #maskontravel /MaskonTravel
