  1. How to find company information in LexisNexis Academic This tutorial will help you to locate company information in the LexisNexis Academic database. To begin, we’ll visit the library homepage.

  2. From the library homepage, select Databases.

  3. Select LexisNexis Academic from the list of databases. LexisNexis covers a large number of disciplines and has full text offerings from regional and national newspapers.

  4. On this page, choose the “Get Company Info” option. As a sample, type “Starbucks” in the search box and click “go.” It is also possible to search by Ticker abbreviation.

  5. On the Results page, the database has retrieved three companies associated with Starbucks. We’ll choose the first option, Starbucks Corp.

  6. Custom Report On the “Company Profile” page, we have a complete snapshot of Starbucks as a company. In the left-hand menu, we can also look at Starbucks in the news, see financial and legal information, as well as intellectual property information. It is also possible to create a custom report for a company. To do so, click the “Custom Report link.”

  7. On the Custom Reports/Company Dossier page, you can select which topics interest you. To generate the report, click on the blue “Generate PDF Report” link. This will create a printable PDF.
