  14. Scheduling Classes • Evaluations must be attached to a class • Standard Learning Methodologies: • Instructor Led Training • Online Facilitated • Self-Paced, Web-Based • Add 1 or more instructors for ILT and Online Facilitated © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

  15. Hands-On: Navigate to Add Class • Click Administration > Schedule Training • To the right of Classes, click Add • If Learning Provider is visible as first box,choose the appropriate one © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

  16. Add Courses • Courses describe the content delivered • For example: Project Management Fundamentals • Classes occur on specific dates with specific instructors Do not use for certified technology courses (Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe, CompTIA, etc.) © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

Hands-On: Add Course On the Add Class page... • In the Course box, select the course from the drop-down menu • If not found, click the Add link to the right • Enter the Course Name • Select the Default Post Event Survey • Select the Course Type • Click Save Do not use for certified technology courses (Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe, CompTIA, etc.) © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

  18. Associate Certified Courses Commercial Learning Providers only • Associates official courses toyour account • Makes ratings visible to Content Providers • Assigns proper evaluation © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

  20. Add Locations • Most organizations use cities as location names • Aliascan be used in a URL to access evaluation • Use a single word(no spaces) • Explained further later today © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

Hands-On: Add Location On the Add Class page… • In the Location box, select the Location from the drop-down menu • If not found, click the Add link to the right • Enter the location Name • Enter a single word as the Alias • Select the Time Zone • Enter any Certification IDs • Click Save Commercial Learning Providers only © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

  22. Add Instructors Do not use for certified Microsoft, Novell, or Cisco instructors • Creates instructor that can be scheduled in classes • Creates instructor user account for reporting • Can only see their own class data Uncheck if instructor should not access MTM © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

Hands-On: Add Instructor On the Add Class page… • If instructor is not in Instructor box,click the Add link to the right • Select the Instructor User Group • Enter First Name, Last Name and Email • Enter Login • Click Save Do not use for certified Microsoft, Novell, or Cisco instructors © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

Email Evaluations • Work with KnowledgeAdvisors to set up email forms • Enroll students in each class • MTM distributes emails automatically • Response rates typically 65% • Personalize email forms and use reminders • Instructors must explain evaluation process and purpose in class © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

Hands-On: Enroll Students • Click Administration > Schedule Training • Click Search to the right of Students • Search for the recently added class • Select Enrollments from the drop-down menu and click Go • Enter email addresses manually or copy and paste list of enrollments • Click Clean & Sort • Click Enroll Students * This can also be done on the Class Add page if students roster is available at the time of class creation © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors

  41. Paper Evaluations • Only use paper when necessary • No computers in class AND • Students don’t have email addresses • Collect paper evaluations in class • Use Manual Eval Entry tool to enter evaluations • Consider outsourcing paper entry to KnowledgeAdvisors © 2011, KnowledgeAdvisors
