History 1815: Founded as „k. k. polytechnisches Institut" (being the first University of Technology in todays German-speaking geographical area) 1865: First reform (restructuring, implementation of faculties, concentration on technical disciplines) 1872: Renamed to "k.k. Technische Hochschule" (TH) (new organisational statute, lasts until 1945)

  8. Studies According to the Bologna Agreement all offered studies (except teacher training programmes) have been offered as bachelor and master programmes since October 1st, 2006.
